Cebu, San Fernando top 2013 eGOV Awards

Cebu City topped the 2013 eGOV Awards for the Business Empowerment (G2B) category for its innovation to solve traffic problem. CebuTraffic is an open source, web-based tool introduced in 2013 as a platform for professionalized taxi operations management to improve Cebu's capacity to more efficiently and effectively plan and manage transport by using data to make evidence-based decisions. By equipping taxis with website linked GPS enabled mobile phones to collect valuable data on travel conditions in the city.

Cebu, Tarlac topped 1st eGOV Awards for LGUs

The local government of Cebu and Tarlac cities won first place in the Honorable Jesse Robredo Awards for Excellence for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Good Governance  or the 1st eGOV Awards for Local Government Units announced last November 23 in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.
